At the Royal National Gallery in London, the bumbling Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) is a guard with good intentions who always seems to destroy anything he touches. Unless, of course, he's sleeping on the job. With the chairman (John Mills) blocking Bean's firing, the board decides to send him to a Los Angeles art gallery under false credentials. When Bean arrives, his chaos-causing ways are as sharp as ever, and curator David Langley (Peter MacNicol) has the unenviable task of keeping Bean in line.

How many English language films can say, "To hell with America!"? Very few. Basically only "Bean", which has already racked up over $100 million before the picture has even unspooled in one New Jersey mall.

Apesar de reciclar bastante coisa da série, mantém o espectador entretido o filme todo, oque não seria possível se não trouxessem o charme da série original para o longa metragem, por mais que pudesse ter sido um pouco melhor aproveitado

Ever since I've had to rent a movie, I've always given myself a single rule: watch it to the end. When I laid my eyes upon the first half of this abhorrent piece of film, I had to watch something else. The comedy from the classic, and good, TV show does not transfer well into a feature film. While its sequel is ten times better in every way, 'Bean' is like being tortured and is terrible to sit through.
