DanTheMan 2 @DanTheMan2150AD Oct 22, 2026 Delving deep into a realm from which there is no escape, The Beyond sees Fulci at his gory, hypnotic best, a fever dream of grotesque imagery, inexplicable happenings and relentless nihilism, capturing the sensation of descending into an irredeemably hostile universe with such grim conviction. Mad and eerie to the point of borderline insanity, Fulci's greatest achievement lies in creating a world where reality itself seems to be coming apart at the seams, with delirious horror passages that segue into brazenly grotesque set pieces, trapping everyone in his illogical, uncanny canvas of errant ideas and associations. An ancient tragedy unfolding on a cosmic scale, The Beyond is easily the maestro's best, a gateway to a realm we should not be privy to, an overwhelming cinematic nightmare of decay, damnation and cosmic indifference. Very weird and VERY gory…just the way we like it! See more Mark J @RT91128775 May 26, 2025 Really struggled with this. I did like it enough and it did invoke unease well. Just, the story doesn’t appear to exist. See more Read all reviews
