Not often you see musicians like Meat Loaf or Randy Travis come in and hold their own with likes of Patrick Swayze and/or others. At least a 9/10 for me and I highly suggest anyone who comes across this film with even slight curiosity to just go for it and watch it See more Tyler B @RT26169479 05/11/2025 One of the best chase movies of the 90's and a true underrated gem, I really love this movie and have since I was a kid. Being raised in the part of NC where this was filmed this is a great time capsule of our part of NC back then. I see the weigh station that was used in that one tense scene every few years, it still looks the same. LOVE the cast in this.. Swayze's perfect here as the guy haunted by guilt and desperate for a break, it makes the tragedy of the movie more deep. He was just a guy trying to rebuild his life and no matter what he does crap is constantly forced up, yet he overcomes it. One of his better action roles and it's a throwback to his 80's run between Red Dawn and North and South. Randy Travis is great as the comic relief and all of the side cast is fantastic. Meat Loaf comes in and steals the show though and this is his definitive acting performance imo. Crazy in Alabama is also a great performance from him that year too, he Jammed hard in 99. Would LOVE to see this on Blu Ray one day from a boutique label, well deserving of it.
