Most of the story, including the violence, is sanitised to the point of cartoonishness, helping to keep a positive vibe rather than sinking into despair and helplessness. Progressively, the film loses some of its steam as it arguably focuses a bit too much on the money subplot and, even in its crucial character moments, feels a tad too tame.
