SIMAS C @simas_eros 5 days ago A beautiful and deeply sad film, in which family life is called into question by a casual affair. Faced with an emotional and rational dilemma, which bridges are we willing to destroy—and which are we willing to build? What distinguishes romance, passion, and eroticism? Unforgettable. "And, suddenly, everything about him was erotic..." See more Mark B @Thelaser555 Sep 20, 2026 You are either a Meryl Streep fan or you are not. I am not. Anything with Clint Eastwood in it, I will always watch. Here he skilfully directs and acts but Streep somehow has that falsehood in all that she does and spoils this production. This should have been a perfectly normal love story- albeit only for four days. Instead we have some airhead Italian housewife (married to a normal, upstanding American with two teenage children) who decides that her life hasn't been normal at all until Eastwood appears at her husband's farm to ask directions to a bridge he wants to photograph for a national magazine he works for. Suddenly, Streep turns into some adolescent, quivering school-girl, practically wetting herself whenever Eastwood speaks or does....well anything....taking photos, having a wash, lighting up a cigarette. Streep's embarrassing Italian accent subsides after she sends Eastwood packing and then hubby returns home all none the wiser. Clint- you were best out if it. See more David J @RT11359690 May 12, 2026 I rate this as the ONLY movie she has ever done that was any good. Eastwood makes rhe movie. SHE IS HERSELF VERY BAD! See more Sua C @emanuelcaldwell May 9, 2026 One of the most beautiful and moving films I've ever seen in my entire life. It completely changed my perspective on love and life in general. I hope that if anyone who hasn't seen it happens to read this, they'll know that it's a film that everyone should see at least once in their life, and that it's a before and after in one's emotional psyche... Blessed be cinema... then, now, and forever.... See more Read all reviews
