Netra L @Netra08 Aug 25 This movie could've been considered a cash-grab mess if it hadn't been written properly and simply made for commercial purposes only, instead of focusing properly on a base storyline. Otherwise, thank goodness it's a whole different story; it simply got DreamWorks a whole lotta money, and yes, it's because of a few factors like good storytelling, talented actors, and a whole lotta creativity, just like Shrek and Kung Fu Panda. So yeah! I believe it's a perfect superhero movie, just like a good number of Spider-Man movies and 'Dog Man.' You must see it, baby. The animation and the different kinds of artwork they use throughout is a really cool feature, it brings an extra visual layer to the storytelling. And the story devices they use are clever, like how they incorporate the comics as a way to tell the story and do cutaways. Very witty. It obviously gets into some potty humor, but it's somehow kind of in an endearing, silly way? And the voice acting, primarily Kevin Hart but also Thomas Middleditch and Ed Helms, is so good. Their delivery is so funny, really good comedic timing and great bits throughout the movie. Just super enjoyable. Pleasantly surprised at how good this is. Feels like it would have good rewatch value too.
