Bullied as a teen for being overweight, Bob Stone shows up to his high school reunion looking fit and muscular. While there, he finds Calvin Joyner, a fast-talking accountant who misses his glory days as a popular athlete. Stone is now a lethal CIA agent who needs Calvin's number skills to help him save the compromised U.S. spy satellite system. The artist formerly known as The Rock has long since proven that he has more natural acting chops than any other former muscleman-turned-thespian (sorry, Arnie), and he's absolutely riotous here.

How this movie made me feel in one word: Upbeat. I prefer this version of The Rock to anything else he has done in the past decade. His goofy but sharpshooting Bob Stone was super entertaining. The film is incredibly dumb, but I had fun with it. There was a movie that came out in 2025 called Playdate. The plot is very similar, but this is done much better. Anytime you can get Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson together, you're in for a good time. Note: Fat CGI Dwayne Johnson will give me nightmares. Note 2: The poster with Hart and Johnson is one of the best taglines I've seen. Best Character: Bob Stone Best Quote: "Well, I sleep in it most nights, but it's clean now, totally good. Yeah!" - Bob Best Scene: The Jump Best Piece of Score: "Bob Stone's Acceptance Speech"

Better than it has any right to be. Look, don't get me wrong, the plot is dumb as a bag of rocks. Not much makes sense. The ending is not good. For a world ending spy thriller, the film majorly pulls its punches with PG violence - which is fine for the kids. And Hart and Johnson each have ONE character they can play, and they play it here... pretty darn well. Their chemistry is great, there are some hilarious scenes. Don't think too much and you will have a blast.

I normally find the rock repulsive in movies, but him and Kevin Hart have a wonderful chemistry that makes this movie feel real and awesome. It’s like Don Rickles and Frank Sinatra if they were both lame 2010’s comedy actors. 3.5/5 stars.
