A trio of elite private investigators armed with the latest in high-tech tools, high-performance vehicles, martial arts techniques and an array of disguises unleashes their state-of-the-art skills on land, sea and air to track down a kidnapped billionaire-to-be and keep his top-secret voice-identification software out of lethal hands. They're beautiful, they're brilliant, and they work for Charlie. In "Charlie's Angels," a sexy, high-octane update of the original '70s action-comedy TV series.

Critics Consensus

Mixing tongue-in-cheek cheesecake with glossy action set pieces, Charlie's Angels is slick and resonably fun despite its lack of originality.

Though undeniably flawed, the movie...remains a surprisingly fun watch.

This is nothing but trailer moments. Ex-pop video director McG couldn't organise a pillow fight in a bedding factory.

Twenty-five years later, Charlie’s Angels remains a product of its time—fun, flashy, and knowingly ridiculous, but also a reminder of how much Hollywood’s idea of “female empowerment” has evolved since 2000.

Low-concept, high-octane fun is the order of the day here, and the goods are delivered in full with a forceful frivolity that is irresistible in every sense of the word.

You may consider this the loosened collar or tightened noose on lightweight American action. But the film remains a kitschy, kick-butt confection that embraces the utter disposability of its severe necklines, sheer pantylines and silly plotlines.

oh how i love seeing women in action getting together to defeat weak men! this was fucking perfect. perfect acting, perfect comedy and the perfect amount of realism in the plot mixed with insane twists and actions scenes that made no sense yet worked. drew, lucy and cameron are fucking perfect and iconic and deserve all the praise and recognition ever! so much fun, so interesting and got me so invested into the story that has become a personal cult favorite from the 2000s with only one watch!!! can’t believe i haven’t seen this one before

A rather childish plot about a rather childish stereotypical high school girls, at least the main heroines behave like that. A young and maximalist high school girl might like this film, but I would not recommend watching it to anyone with sensitivity to quality plot and music

Absolutely ridiculous but so enjoyable. Full of fun, explosive sequences, and Drew Barrymore’s moonwalk is so unexpected but so funny. A stacked cast with Sam Rockwell, Tom Green, Luke Wilson, and Crispin Glover??? Plus one of the best soundtracks, packed with banger after banger. Definitely recommended!
