However, Flint soon discovers that his most-famous machine, which turns water into food, is still operating but now creates animal/vegetable hybrids. Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn (working from a script by John Francis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein, and Erica Rivinoja) have expanded on it nicely, crafting a film that feels like the natural successor to the original without simply rehashing its story. Waniya S Jan 27 I loved it, it’s a great sequel talking about some real societal issues. Taking over one’s land in promise to better it, telling them to evacuate their own land, colonialism, genocide. A lot of great topics were covered with such a great story. I think ppl who hate them are either dead in the head or they watched it with closed eyes. I mean you are not happy when the societies major crisis are being represented. Ugh ppl piss me off. Anyways great movie. Would probably recommend it. This shift gives the movie a stronger sense of adventure and keeps it from feeling recycled. The animation is colorful and energetic, packed with visual jokes that reward attention. The food animals are absurd in a fun way, blending humor and imagination into designs that are funny and memorable. The cartoony human designs fit the playful tone and never feel distracting. Story-wise, the film focuses on growth and self-worth, especially through Flint Lockwood’s journey. The screenplay keeps things simple but effective, delivering heartfelt moments without hurting the pacing. The returning cast has strong chemistry.
