Gloria is an out-of-work party girl who leaves New York and moves back to her hometown after getting kicked out of her apartment by her boyfriend. When news reports surface that a giant creature is destroying Seoul, South Korea, Gloria gradually comes to the realization that she is somehow connected to this far-off phenomenon. As events begin to spiral out of control, she must figure out why her seemingly insignificant existence is having such a colossal effect on the fate of the world.

The beginning was promising and that it all turned to bs. The only remotely sane person is her ex boyfriend. The character backstory felt flat. And why is the bad person bad? Well just because.. and comedy? I’m still waiting for the comedy part. Massively disappointed

I really hoped this movie is not as bad as other people say. Nope! It's pretty bad... No amount of star acting can save a poorly written plot. Just hire good writers, people! It's unbelievable how much money is wasted on poorly written movies these days. Jason Sudeikis' character is miscast, IMO. He plays a guy who looks nice at first but turns out to be an abusive villain psychopath. But this transformation is clunky and I had a hard time believing his character is real. Again, hard to blame an actor when the plot is so bad... ...I mean, if this was written by middle schoolers and was a PG-13 movie instead of R, with some cheesy romance, maybe then this movie would work out. But, no, it's pretty much a waste of time. I've seen worse, but still, it's firmly down there. Don't be seduced by a star cast.
