It delivers a masterclass in tension without a single explosion or chase scene. The lead character is crippled by bureaucracy and legal fears, leading to moral compromise. It forces you to confront how fear of another atrocity can justify extremes. Smart, understated, and relentlessly uncomfortable, it leads you to confront impossible choices in the fight against terror. This is a stark warning, still chillingly relevant in 2026. "Suicidal empathy" and prioritizing Islamophobia worries and terrorist rights over citizen safety can paralyze counter-terrorism.
