Audiences are hungry for diverse stories, and it’s undoubtedly a huge move forward for representation; whether it’s actually good seems almost irrelevant – it’s funny, heartwarming and ultimately emotionally satisfying. It’s a perfectly fine film.

"Let me get this straight. You both went to the same school. Yet someone came back with a degree that's useful, and the other one came back as Asian Ellen." Verdict: A gorgeous, funny, and genuinely heartfelt romantic comedy with an excellent ensemble. It may be predictable, but the performances, chemistry, representation, and sheer visual extravagance make Crazy Rich Asians an easy movie to fall in love with.

A fun film that grows on me the more I watch it. Looks beautiful, great cast, great writing, a lot of heart, laughs and a feel good ending. This was the start of changing things for Asian representation in Hollywood cinema. Today, it’s night and day from what it was like within my lifetime. There’s still room for improvement but this film shows what is possible. Loved this movie.

Crazy Rich Asians is an incredibly engaging movie all around. It’s the type of movie you’d put on the background while you’re doing something else, but you get distracted by the movie and stop doing what you were doing before. The main characters were fun to watch, but I also like how realistic it can be. The idea of trying to prove your mother in law that you can be just as good as anyone else in the family is a real struggle people face. All around great movie
