Eddie Garrick (Chris "Ludacris" Bridges) is a good-hearted man who has turned his back on Christmas due to a traumatic childhood experience. At the request of his wife Allison Garrick (Teyonah Parris), from whom he is separated, Eddie takes his 9-year-old daughter Charlotte (Madison Skye Validum) to work with him on Christmas Eve, where they meet a mysterious man in a red suit named Nick (Lil Rel Howery). Eddie, who is a social worker, thinks the man is delusional and needs professional help, but when he evokes the wrath of a local politician (Oscar Nuñez), he and his daughter are taken on a magical adventure that just might restore his faith in Christmas.

Director Tim Story and screenwriter Scott Rosenberg keep this one peppy and fun throughout, but it is the pairing of Howery and Bridges as a griping holiday naysayer that really make it jingle all the way.

In its way, the movie takes you back: to that Christmas present you still remember, the one that touched a chord in you and meant everything.

“Dashing Through the Snow” has all the makings of the kind of movie parents will throw on for their kids in desperation to find something new and walk away in the hope they’re not asked to watch it with them.

I was all set to laugh my way to the end. Unfortunately, whoever decided this film needs to feel, look, and have the quality of a ‘90s feel-good twee Christmas film for kids did this film, and its cast, a huge disservice.

Dashing Through the Snow is the type of joyless holiday entertainment that drains cheer rather than delivers it. Yes, it’s a straight to streaming release. No, that is not an excuse for subpar content.

Audiences shouldn’t try to go too deep into this silly but warm film to have fun. It’s a sweet adventure that is okay to forget after the 90 minutes are up.

The longest hour and a half movie. There’s times were it seems like Ludacris is being played a Ludacris impersonator. It’s a real confusing performance. Lil Rel was decent Santa. Not a hundred percent sure if you can knock the writing if it’s a kids movie. I would say it doesn’t hit the beats of a movie. Sloppy in the beginning. Phobe.

It's a nice easy to follow comedy. I thoroughly enjoy Ludacris in films, he somehow stays himself but manages to embody the role he is given well.
