Critics Consensus

With an all-new cast but the same juvenile humor, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul finds the franchise still stuck in arrested -- and largely unfunny -- development.

At least Silverstone, who hasn't lost her gift for comic pouting, is allowed to bring some humanity and playfulness to her killjoy character -- though this mainly reinforces the impression that she deserves better roles.

Now, with a new cast in place, and tweaks to allow such mod-cons as social media, the wheels have come off entirely.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul is a road trip movie that trips over every terrible family movie cliche with pacing so bad it made 91 minutes feel like a lifetime.

This movie was absoutely exquistet and aurabal. The acting is on par with the godfather. The acting of each of the actresses was inspiring, respectful and amazing. Rodgerick was my favourite. Rodgerick's casting was amazing and better than the oringnal. I like the part of when rodgerick was adopted to an american family. I wish to authorise a book about rogerivks backstory. I love the way he presented himself. He wasn't afraid to let his demons out. He is true pure hearted at heart. The baby was also a great actress, the way the baby cried and was able to act is near a true professional . That was also on par with Jesse Pinkman's actor Aaron Paul. This movie brought me to tears. It was delicate, heartwarming, emotionally scarring and funny. I recommend every induavildual to watch this movie even if it's not in your language watch to subbed. You need to watch this. It changes you. The music matched my heart. Zoo ee mama

I don't like it at all, because the characters are weird... and the casting is different.
