Rehmeier has created a punk rock Bonnie and Clyde, and the Patty/Simon relationship is a “nothing to lose by staying true” style of adventures, and nobody "adventures" better than an on-the-lam punk rocker and his music girlfriend. W/Emily/Kyle Podtalk.

Dinner in America is the kind of movie that sneaks up on you wearing a punk-rock T-shirt and leaves you with a lump in your throat. Funny, messy, rebellious, and unexpectedly tender, it finds two misfits who don’t need fixing. They just need someone to finally see them. A little love story with a very loud heartbeat.

This movie is so nostalgic to me. Its such a comforting movie. Shows a different kind of love story thats typically not seen in other movies. So cute and I love the edgy punk rock vibe. I felt this movie in my soul.

I thought this film was about to take a bit of dark twisty turn but it was a beautiful and endearing turn instead which took me by surprise. It’s a beautiful film. Amazing acting and it kept me thinking afterwards. I loved it, an absolute 10.
