SIMAS C @simas_eros Oct 21, 2026 A film that, for some reason, Joseph Gordon-Levitt chose to both direct and star in. Perhaps it was an attempt to exorcise personal demons regarding a struggle with pornography addiction, or perhaps an ego trip involving attractive actresses—stemming from some unresolved, intimate issue. Regardless, the result is a film that raises compelling questions about the dehumanization of desire, the expectations surrounding love in a world where pleasure is easily accessible, and the capacity to accept and navigate imperfect relationships between imperfect people—whether those relationships are short-term, medium-term, or long-term. Very captivating. My only complaint is that there's no way Joseph Gordon--Levitt is a college student. See more Wiebe B @wburuma Apr 7, 2026 An interesting story on porn and relationships. A bit raunchy but funny with a feel good ending. See more Daniel M @MazzaQuePasa Oct 6, 2025 I really didn’t expect to like this one too much, but it really surprised me. The story was well done with characters that felt real and fun to watch. Great cast and I appreciated the deep story it really told See more Robyn G @RoGrJe Sep 8, 2025 Interesting characters by some well known actors early in their careers, that dry humor that I adore and a thoughtful story of growth from an unexpected direction, Don Jon is a pleasure to watch. Yes, it’s clunky and rough, but it’s also refreshing, unpretentious and poignant in its own humble way. Don’t like the characters? You’re not necessarily supposed to, dumbass. I actually loved the film and think it’s underrated. See more Read all reviews
