In this live-action film based on the favorite children's tale, the trouble-making Cat in the Hat (Mike Myers) arrives at the home of bored young Sally Walden (Dakota Fanning) and her brother, Conrad (Spencer Breslin), while their mother (Kelly Preston) is out. The family's pet fish (Sean Hayes) objects to the Cat's presence, but that doesn't stop the hat-wearing giant feline from trying to have fun, no matter how much destruction is left in his wake.

If you watch this expecting master filmmaking I don't know what to tell you. Great watch for what it is. Mike Myers carries this movie with his theatrical body humor and crass dialogue. Alec Baldwin makes a good evil stepdad. Set work is great, and the movie actually has a good lesson for kids.

Good movie overall but I do wish it was more like the book but I did like were the cat had to make the kids just right, but Conrad was not this anonymous in the book and the girl was worse she was just trying to get Conrad in to more trouble, I do wish that the movie wasn’t just adult jokes because it’s a kids movie, the grinch was so good but this was good but it just doesn’t hit the same with the grinch movie but still a good peak movie.

Synopsis
