Starring Rebecca Romijn (X-Men) and Jerry O'Connell (Showtime's "Billions") this gripping adventure tale unfolds beneath a brutal African sun. Jack Halsey takes his wife (Romijn), their adult kids, and a friend for a dream vacation in Kenya. But as they venture off alone into a wilderness park, their safari van is flipped over by an angry rhino, leaving them injured and desperate. Then, as two of them go in search of rescue, a bloody, vicious encounter with a leopard and a clan of hyenas incites a desperate fight for survival.

Its story of the classic ugly Americans learning important lessons about the eponymous endangered wildlife of East Africa is undoubtedly well-meaning. Unfortunately, it's also graceless and predictable.

Endangered Species is an example of what not do when going on a safari and what not do when making a movie thriller about it. The film's intended preachy message about poaching is overshadowed by the idiotic story.

What an idiotic movie. Lame acting, predictable plot. When the tiger rips Billy apart, drags him up a tree, and the guy lives with no broken bones or life-threatening injuries, that's when it just got funny. His girlfriend breaks down in hysterics after she hears he's been ripped apart by a tiger, and 5 minutes later she's fine, even shares a chuckle with her brother. So much for Billy! (Billy who)? I kept watching for the laughs after that.....

Probably one of the dumbest movies I've seen in a while. The characters are so vapid and idiotic who made the dumbest decisions in a life or death situation. The daughter was facing off with poachers??? Really??? Please don't waste your time with this movie... like I did.

A shallow story, with forced drama that tries very hard to just get to the action… but fails. All the characters can be described as "discount actor" or "generic character" with an obvious attempt to appeal to a younger audience by putting in bad stereotypes. Basically; it tries to hard, takes itself to seriously, tries to force depth into characters so you Have to care about them, and fails at everything.
