It's preaching in all caps. Or considering the oddly goofy tone, All Caps in Comic Sans. Go to Full Review

It's the product of a satirical ambition that lacks the wit to land any heady blows; the horror mastery to be even glancingly scary; the intellect to make those thrills invigoratingly existential; and the sense of humor to make it entertaining. Go to Full Review

False Positive doesn't sustain its most suspenseful ideas. The big revelation at the end is something of a letdown, and the movie's final image spells out a metaphor that ought to have been left to suggestion. Go to Full Review

This is a largely regrettable misfire that feels more often than not like a script letting down a talented group of actors who are generally much better than this. Go to Full Review

nilufer e @Nilicim Oct 5 Yeah well I wouldn't bother to watch it if I had seen the scores but it was on HBO and I saw Pierce Brosnan so I gave it a shot. It was intriguing I'll give it that but other than that it was quite a waste of time. See more April M 12/31/2024 We thought, "Pierce Brosnan movie, so probably decent". It was not. I basically guessed the main reveal of the movie from the point where it was introduced, and was waiting for something more... filling than that. E.g., I wanted it to be a mystery that had an interesting resolution, and it was very much not that. Just something that felt like navigating mental illness, followed by an unsatisfying conclusion. We're actively sad that we didn't check here first, this time, as it would have been nice to avoid watching the movie entirely. See more 11/26/2024 It sucked. Ilana finds any reason to be half dressed nowadays. See more HG H @HGH93 03/22/2024 This was such a colossal waste of time that to describe the seer insanity that never bothers to make head or tails of what, how or why it's doing what's it's doing would be redundant to say the least. See more Michael C @Coxmjc23 02/24/2024 Great movie and great acting!!! See more Jeff M @jeffmarshallmovieblogger 01/22/2024 Here's yet another movie that begins with a potentially suspenseful or at least somewhat intriguing premise and then devolves by the end into a mess. I'm becoming fully convinced that screenwriters nowadays become transfixed with an exciting idea or plot device but have no idea how to create a fully rounded and satisfactory screenplay. Although only superficially similar in a couple ways, I was reminded more than once of ROSEMARY'S BABY while watching this film. That 1968 classic was able to hold our attention throughout because of a strong director and source material. This pales by comparison. And honestly, I was in the **1/2 or even *** ballpark until the last 20 minutes or so became so relentlessly awful that any goodwill accumulated up until then pretty much wasted away to nothing. I am not familiar with Glazer, so I'm reserving judgment on her as an actress, but I didn't feel particularly invested in her character or what was happening to her, so that made any emotional connection to the material non-existent. The performances surrounding her were nothing special. This is one of those movies I will completely forget about within two weeks. In fact, I almost forgot to write this review.
