Cheesy pap, but a few glossy moments.

Martin, Keaton and cinematographer William A. Fraker put this retro fluff over better than expected early on, but hour 2 is only for those who don't want their equilibriums rattled by surprises.

Father of the Bride Part II is not a great movie and not even as good as its 1991 inspiration (not to mention the Spencer Tracy-Elizabeth Taylor original from 1950). But it is warm and fuzzy, and has some good laughs and a lot of sweetness.

Anyone looking forward to a second dose of the first film's frothy bittersweet fun can forget it. This is frighteningly bad.

Classic nostalgia but doesn't hit as hard with comedy as other Steve Martin movies hit.

it's like watching a car crash. It's quite awful all around but the actors have a slight appeal. It seems like they made the script up as they filmed. You will need some pepcid for this.

It's every bit as charming as the first one, but with a more realistic and encouraging climax this time. And once again, the Alan Silvestri score left me in tears.

The characters remain endearing, but the schmaltzy Father of the Bride Part II can't deliver when it comes to fresh gags.

It was "just weird". It was uncomfortable and there was just no point
