Todor Y @Phantom961 Feb 5 Very well made movie, great work with martial arts and music. The movie shows the martial art Rumi Maki coming from the ancient Inca civilization, shows how brutal the so-called Stone Hand can be with one blow. Marco also shows Taekwondo, Wing Chun, MMA, etc. His opponent on the other hand shows Kalaripayattu an ancient martial art which is just as deadly, it focuses on high flying acrobatics. At the end of the movie Marco manages to defeat him using Rumi Maki's Stone Hand. See more Stephen F Aug 10 As a fan of Chinese style Kung-fu movies, this movies has a different flavor but the underlying theme is the same. Passion over ego and putting the mind to work to do what needs to be done. The workout scenes are interesting while the fight scenes are intense. There are some good fight scenes here but in between the film is slow and a little ponderous spouting too much pop-psych wisdom. I'd say it's mediocre at best. Considering the great success of John wick Chapter 4, Fist of the Condor adds further in depth excitement to Marko Zaror's Pantheon of his Martial Arts body of work and has in my opinion excelled him to the Great status of Scott Adkins and more. Fist of the Condor, is a compelling story that s Plays on the philosophical aspects of Martial arts and the intensity of revenge and justice. The story does interweave between past and present but gives more insight as to what is going on with the characters in the present because of their past. I love the fact that they also have paid homage to older martial arts films like kill Bill volumes 1 and 2 and and have Introduced new martial art styles on the screen of ancient origin in the forms of Rumi Maki which is an Ancient Incan Martial art which is what the fist of the condor is based on and Kalaripayattu an Ancient martial art from India performed by Eyal Meyer. I definitely recommend Fist of the condor if you like Intriguing Martial arts and choreography and a philosophical story arc. Marko Zaror has done well in creating this intricate martial arts film and I would love to see more in the future. This was truly awesome movie that like a cliffhanger keeps you wanting more. I look forward to a sequel and More of Marko Zaror and Eyal Meyer. This deserves a solid 4 out of 5 stars in my opinion. Definitely Recommended See more Read all reviews
