The story follows two children who develop feelings for each other at different times, and eventually find their way back to one another in a very natural and meaningful way. I especially loved how the movie shows two different families. Juli’s family represents healthy, supportive parenting — you can clearly see how love and strong values help raise a wise and kind child with a big heart. Bryce’s family is also caring, especially with his grandfather as a positive and warm influence. The film gently shows how a parent’s inner struggles can affect family dynamics, but without making it dramatic or negative. The movie feels nostalgic and pure. It captures teenage emotions so honestly — pride, vulnerability, misunderstanding, and growth. The scenes, cinematography, costumes, and styling are beautiful and really bring the time period to life. It honestly made me cry and smile at the same time.
