Marco L @decatur555 Aug 13, 2026 Forgive Us All looks fantastic but spends far too much time behaving like a solemn family drama instead of using the infected threat at the heart of its world. It reminded me of the weakest Walking Dead episodes, where zombies exist somewhere in the background while grief, silence and personal trauma consume the story. The New Zealand landscapes are spectacular and Peter McCaffrey’s cinematography is easily the film’s strongest element, while its western atmosphere occasionally works very well. Unfortunately, the pacing is painfully slow, the emotional drama rarely lands and the infected become important far too late. There are ingredients here for a strong post-apocalyptic western-horror film, but too much empty seriousness gets in the way. See more Kris T @RT26407207 Aug 7, 2026 At this point I am just tired af yet another zombie movie. Repetitive characters. Same plot as always. Just another movie with nothing special... please stop making zombie movies if you have nothing to add See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Dec 28, 2025 Forgive Us All sets up a moody horror tale, but never delivers the punch it promises. The film teases tension, then stalls, creating a stop and go rhythm that drains urgency and makes the experience feel longer than it is. Just when it seems ready to ignite, it slows again, leaving you waiting for a payoff that never arrives. The direction feels unsure, as if the filmmaker can’t decide whether to embrace dread or play everything safe. That hesitation keeps the movie from building real suspense. Performances are mostly flat, with characters that never become people you care about. Without emotional grounding, the heavier themes fail to land, and the story struggles to pull you in. The screenplay is the weakest link, wandering without a clear path or purpose. Scenes hint at meaning, but nothing connects into a satisfying whole. In the end, Forgive Us All is a missed opportunity. It has the bones of something powerful, yet settles for a slow, uneven ride that leaves you disappointed!! See more Nathan M. @19Nate79 Nov 15, 2025 this is not a fast paced movie if you’re looking for that. this is a western with zombies sprinkled in sparingly. very lovely shots. it delivers exactly what it should. i wasn’t blown away but i wasn’t disappointed either. very middle of the road movie. do wish movies would stop depicting being shot in the leg or arm as being a flesh wound but that’s not unique to this film See more C B @RT03025588 Nov 12, 2025 The actress is attractive but this is the slowest western / slowest zombie movie I've ever seen...I couldn't make it past 20 minutes. See more tm11999 M @tm11999 Nov 7, 2025 good story about the horrors of NZ/aussie gov'ts lying to their people about putting everybody in camps.......you know....for their own good. those that dislike this and equate it with a "zombie" movie, miss the point. i'm surprised the leftists allowed them to include the subtle message. you can watch this.
