Two horror icons face off in this supernatural movie. Disfigured serial killer Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund), who attacks his victims in their dreams, has lost much of his power since citizens of his town have become less afraid of him. Enlisting the help of fellow violent murderer Jason Voorhees (Ken Kirzinger), Freddy orchestrates a new killing spree. However, when the hockey-mask-wearing psychopath won't stop chopping up Freddy's intended victims, the two ghouls start to battle each other.

It is a shame to see so much CGI in 2 franchises known for their practical effects work, but once the script emerges from its introductory exposition phase, the film becomes clever enough to lift these flailing franchises back up from the depths of Hell.

While it may not be great story wise and how this film treats Jason Voorhees, this is an entertaining crossover, for fans of both A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th, you might like this one, but I have issues of how Jason is portrayed, especially in the corn maze massacre where Jason kills in the open, he is supposed to stalk till he can't stalk no more, but otherwise, the kills are good, the fights are entertaining, and Robert Englund really delivers an entertaining performance as Freddy, so despite its flaws, this is recommended as a MUST SEE

Ken Kirzinger is my favorite portrayal of Jason Voorhees, from his intimidating look to the brutal kills he delivers throughout the film. He really brings the physical presence the character needs in a crossover like this. Robert Englund also does a great job as Freddy Krueger, bringing back the personality and dark humor that make him iconic. The film delivers some standout moments, especially the “bed sandwich” kill, which is easily my favorite scene. Overall, the main fight between Freddy and Jason lived up to expectations and was entertaining to watch. However, the movie is a bit mixed in places. The first major fight between the two could have been stronger, and the Freddy worm scene felt unnecessary and out of place. Overall, Freddy vs. Jason is a fun crossover that delivers where it matters most. My score- 8/10

A perfectly middle of the road entry from both franchises'. The way Ronnie Yu makes characters fly and those nauseating scenes which date the movie make me slightly ease off my bias but apart from that, it's all you can expect from a early 2000s slasher.
