Having revealed all kinds of strange goings-on over the course of several hours, Gajab Raat settles for a disappointingly ordinary, and implausible, solution. Go to Full Review

Its themes of corruption and conscience remain relevant, and the single-night format offers intermittent tension, but predictable twists and sketchily written characters prevent it from making a lasting impact. Go to Full Review

Manoj Bajpayee has the fluctuating mood graph of his character down pat whether hustling away his quick-witted energy in good faith or greed. It's a tricky terrain but few understand balance like this man. Go to Full Review

Fifty T @RT01421419 6 hrs ago I thought Gajab Raat was alright... a totally watchable 6/10, but it really could have been so much better. The whole single-night crime plot setup actually grabbed me, but the movie keeps getting in its own way. For starters, Manoj Bajpayee's fake accent was so annoying and distracting that it threw me right out of the story. When your main guy sounds that unnatural, it's just tough to stay invested. Then you've got these random moments of amateurish writing that completely break the mood right when things start getting good. It built up enough interesting tension that I thought we were heading for a killer climax, but then it just plays it totally safe and lands on a super predictable ending. It's a decent enough option if you just want something easy to stream, but it definitely had the bones to be something way bigger. See more Sharang L @Scribe187 5 days ago Typical OTT slop. A decent mystery-thriller till half-way and then all downhill thereon. Bajpayee's worst performance in ages. It's getting increasingly difficult to find a half-decent Hindi flick or show these days. See more Manoranjan M @RT70217749 5 days ago GajabRaat is a thriller that keeps the suspense. The storyline reveals slowly. Is it about flesh trade, drugs cartel, departmental conflict, corruption? The theme keeps changing and keeps you guessing. Manoj’s somewhat understated portrayal and changes from a money minded cop a caring one is subtle, Divya Dutta is an excellent actress who did not really get to play her potential.I rate it 3.5 because of issues with script and storytelling. I find it suspicious whenever a character changes so rapidly. Manoj changed too rapidly from a corrupt to caring cop. Using everyone locked up in custody to protect the victim - really ? The last conversations between Divya and Manoj was rather long, because at that point you kn ow how the story is going to end. CBI was corrupt and out to protect the politician, but what was NIA doing exactly? The incidence had hundreds of onlooker - but no interviews. A solid execution with prominent holes, I would say.
