From Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, comes GOAT, an original action-comedy set in an all-animal world. This hoop dreams animation romp from producer Steph Curry isn’t NBA quality, but it gets the job done for family fun. The inclusivity messaging abut teamwork is laid on thick, but still worthwhile for immature audiences of all ages.

It’s antic, sure, and has plenty of middling jokes. But Will makes a sweet-natured and earnest hero, and it’s particularly nice to see a movie where a young male unabashedly hero-worships a female athlete

Spins the predictable underdog ... excuse me, undergoat ... story and creates something fresh, funny and heartfelt. The voice acting was particularly good, given that the fine matching animation was only theoretical. He shoots! He GOATS!

Is it too early to declare "GOAT" the best kids’ movie of the year? Judging from the loud cheers in the audience and tears welling up from some rude person choosing to cut onions in the theater, it does not feel premature.
