Those who have read biographies or narratives of the war will enjoy the portrayals of Jackson, Lee, and Lincoln. Those with the most cursory understanding of the war will be shocked and disappointed to see the Southerners are depicted as conflicted human beings rather than simply demonized. A piece of pro-slavery propagandic trash that promotes that tired 'Lost Cause' Klansman ideological crap that sadly still pervades in some Americans' attitudes even today in the 21st century. It's so long it has an intermission where you're better off just existing the theater or simply stop watching. This pile of garbage is for the Nazi Youth, Young Klansmen, neo-Confederates who choose not to progress to modern times, and MAGA cultists only. There are other descriptions and adjectives I could use to describe this film but they're probably too obscene to print here. Stay light-years away from this hokey crap. Get an education instead.
