Halloween: Resurrection is an embarrassment to a franchise that I hold near and dear to my heart. A franchise that has entertained viewers for the past 40 years and its fans deserved more than this film.

Nunca nenhuma das franquias de terror do Monte Rushmore chegou tão baixo. Um lixo do fundo do poço. Do começo ao fim, uma vergonha para a série. O trabalho excepcional de Rick Rosenthal em Halloween 2 deve ter sido um verdadeiro acaso, porque ele não tem a mínima ideia do que está fazendo aqui. Forma e conteúdo sem sentido - um filme que anseia por Michael Myers entrando pela sua porta para te tirar do seu sofrimento. Da estética à narrativa, este é um reboot tão descaradamente farto de suas origens, como se tivesse vergonha de existir. Bem, eu também me considero envergonhado.

The second star is solely for Busta Rhymes’ bizarre king fu moves. As I woman, I was extremely annoyed with the dialogue. This is a very 2000s horror film so it’s worth a watch for nostalgia if that’s your thing. Otherwise, go ahead and skip this one.

I grew up loving Resurrection and I presumed many did too! Didn't the internet prove me wrong though. It's truly the first Halloween movie where Michael is mostly going after people that are not related to him and even then, he wasn't really targetting them. They just happened to be on his turf. Either way, this movie, while not perfect, is entertaining and enjoyable to watch.
