Three generations of the same family deal with the consequences of unleashing the forces of hell. In 18th-century France, Paul L'Merchant (Bruce Ramsay) works as a toymaker until he's coerced into creating a box that serves as a portal between hell and Earth. The box summons demonic Angelique (Valentina Vargas) and Pinhead (Doug Bradley), who -- 200 years later -- hunt down John Merchant (Bruce Ramsay). Then, centuries later, Phillip L'Merchant (also Ramsay) prepares for a final confrontation.

Beckham S @beckhamstephenson 3 days ago I didn't think I'd rate a Hellraiser sequel worse than II, but this one definitely did it. It was blatantly obvious to me throughout the film that they'd ran out of plot ideas. I think this movie is a little pointless, confusing and kind of stupid. Harsh language, but there isn't really anything much I enjoyed. I found Bloodline to be both nonsensical and confusing. It's really drawn away from Pinhead's character, his authenticity, especially to have him going after children. That stood out to me. Both in comics and first movie, you can see Pinhead being respectful to minors, and almost even kind to young children. I found it very out of character. I am once again sad to see none of the original cenobites aside from Pinhead, of course. The cenobite dog/ Hellhound was pretty cool looking and I did enjoy that. Exterior to the dog, the only thing I can really praise is Doug Bradley's commitment and maintained performance as Pinhead. Can't recommend this sequel; they've lost the plot. See more Alex B @AlexBioni Oct 15, 2026 You have pliant fingers. Who's freaking idea was it to go into space?! I like seeing the origins of the puzzle box, but an ordinary toy maker creating it feels ridiculous. How does anyone in France even know about it? North Africa would've made more sense, like where Frank found the box in the original. The first attempt at using it is dark and crazy to see. How does the guy in space know so much about his 17th-century relative creating the box? The blood spoke to him? Give me a break. This story could've worked without space and been more believable. The acting is terrible, especially Angelique. Despite all that, I kind of liked it. The original story, great blood and practical effects, and good pacing make it entertaining. It's short, so it never feels like a waste of time. It's a good turn-your-brain-off movie and a decent place to end the series. Honestly, I'd stop watching after this one.
