B P @Bradster69 2d Not Bad, but Not My Favorite See more dr. R @Yes123456 Aug 26 Firstly, I do not consider this a hellraiser movie. Hellraiser, has no sequels, is helmed by Clive Barker. This is a Miramax Hellraiser movie. And quite a fine one at that. It is fun, campy, and the SFX are great. Just the pick me up needed after Tony Randel's dreadful take on the characters. I don't even feel Hellbound to be deserving of a review. Anyways, this movie is pure dumb, campy fun. You can come for the great SFX, and stay for one of the funniest screen orgasms. Obviously, it's no masterpiece, but it's a nice little film. See more Beckham S @beckhamstephenson Aug 26 Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth was a decent movie considering what it was working with. After the receiving the scraps and mess of Hellraiser II, the third movie did its best to draw references and ties from both the first and second movie to make a coherent sequel. The movie itself branches away, main character wise, it's someone who we haven't met before. This added uniqueness, it stopped running through characters who'd had already finished arks, it was fresh. Now, with characters that'd existed across movies, I was sad to see Pinhead turn to a slasher, I don't think that was the intent of his character as seen as in the original movie and didn't feel right. I was also very upset the other notable cenobites were left unmentioned. There were a couple of funny lines/scenes that I have to credit the movie's composition for. Overall, I think this movie was ultimately edgier and a slower paced than either of the two movies prior to itself. It was Hellraiser, but not the proper Hellraiser.
