Filmed in eye-popping cartoony colours and with eye-popping cartoony acting to match... the kids mug enthusiastically in school nativity play fashion amid fidgety, hyper-active camerawork that suggests the director has eaten too many blue Smarties. Go to Full Review

TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 1d Horrid Henry: The Movie is a loud, chaotic adaptation that mistakes noise for entertainment. What could have been mischievous fun instead feels messy and uninspired from the very beginning. The screenplay is painfully weak, stacking exaggerated jokes without timing, structure, or genuine wit. Scenes drag on far too long, and the humor quickly becomes exhausting rather than clever. The direction adds little energy beyond bright colors and frantic pacing, giving the film a rushed, careless feel. Performances are overly exaggerated without charm, making it hard to connect with any character. Instead of playful rebellion, the movie delivers repetitive antics and shallow storytelling. Even for kids, there are far more imaginative and engaging family films available. It feels assembled rather than crafted, as if every scene was stitched together without care for flow or purpose. Any attempt at heart is drowned out by forced slapstick and grating dialogue See more Sonny W @sonnywitt 4d Loved it as a kid. Not watched it for years but it's a kids movie so it does the job surely? See more Colton C @Joshua188 Feb 8 So...that movie bad because people don't like it 😐 See more Not a H Nov 27 Fantastic movie. Brings cartoon magic to live. Avant garde set design and the special effects though dated add to the charm. As an American viewer I appreciated Peter’s Southern rendition of Frère Jacques. The songs legitimately slap. The game show part is a little creepy and kind of reminds me of Floop in spy kids. They also made Henry and Peter much more likable than in the show. Margaret slays in this film and it’s good to see a strong female character in a movie targeted to boys. This movie is certified 2Cool4School. See more Margarita M Sep 7 This movie is absolutely terrible and trash acting but I can’t help but love it because of how out of context it is 😭😭😭 u could put the movie on from any second and it’ll over stimulate u but it’s so weird. It had a budget of under ten dollars but it’s still a fun watch See more Kelly M Aug 22 Ok because it is about Henry hating Ashton Primary school and hating his teacher Miss Battle axe. But there is trouble because Vic Van Wrinkle the headmaster of Brick House School very expensive school wants to shut down Ashton Primary school forever because the parents would have to pay a lot of money to send there kids to Brick House School my favourite scene is when Vic Van Wrinkle falls out the window because Perfect Peter Henry’s brother tied his shoes together and Vic Says “You Horrid Boy!” Ok movie 7/10 See more Read all reviews
