The Hidden World is easily the best-looking entry on visual terms, and the familiar plot and themes aren't so repetitive that the basic appeal of its boy-and-a-dog setup has lost its charm.

Solid ending to one of the best animated trilogies of all time. Best trilogies of all time even. And even then it leaves a sliver of room for more should this world ever take flight again in this form. Couldn't be better if they tried.

This trilogy finale proves to be the weakest chapter in the franchise, suffering from a predictable script and villains lacking the impact of their predecessors. However, the film is still absolutely beautiful to watch. The digital animation reaches the saga's technical peak, delivering stunning scenery, hyper-realistic textures, and a use of light that fills the screen with visual poetry. Although the narrative feels rushed and loses some of the emotional force and cohesion of the past, the bittersweet ending provides a satisfying and visually impeccable conclusion.
