For Jip, Lulu, Koop, Nina and Moff, the dead-end jobs they endure during the week just kill the time until Friday night. That's when they cut very loose and get on the crazy roller coaster ride that takes them right through to Monday morning. An adrenaline-pumped comedy, "Human Traffic" chronicles the ups and downs -- both chemical and emotional -- of five friends whose weekends are filled with endless clubbing, pubbing and partying where there are no rules, no limits and no saying "no."

A reminder of that interesting 90s moment when euphoria and uncomplicated fun had cultural cachet. Go to Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Jan 1, 2000

The director of the film, Justin Kerrigan, is 25. He sees his story from the inside. It's based on his friends. There is no perspective, no angle. Go to Full Review Tom Cassidy Common Sense Media Aug 15, 2025
Now regarded as a cult classic, this British comedy offers a smart and satirical look at the country's late-1990s subcultures and society. Go to Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com Jul 25, 2025

…while Human Traffic isn’t exactly a timeless classic, it’s one of the better films that attempted to exploit or just describe a brief shining moment of drugged-up, misplaced social idealism…a revealing artefact of the time in the late-90’s… Go to Full Review Chuck Klosterman Akron Beacon Journal Oct 30, 2023

Watching this movie is sort of like taking drugs: Human Traffic is great fun for the 84 minutes you're there, but it's hard to remember what exactly happened and ultimately feels pointless (at least in retrospect). Go to Full Review Michael Dequina TheMovieReport.com Oct 17, 2007

The film's high spirits are contagious and wholly impossible to resist. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Christopher W @WhiskeyJack Aug 9, 2026 Perfect Sunday hangover movie for those who are old enough to remember clubbing in the 90s. See more Neil P @payne33 Dec 6, 2025 One of my all-time faves. Great portrayal of DJ/Rave/Club culture, friendship between young men and women and how they can fall in love and/or navigate relationship issues. See more Peter F @RT64944199 Jun 6, 2025 Amazing movie that absolutely captured 90s club culture. I would have expected to meet any one or more of those characters anytime I went out. The weekend has landed! See more Daniel. M @RT82411758 May 22, 2025 Human Traffic was a window into the lifestyle and priorities of the more outgoing 18 to 20 somethings of the time in the UK. My era, my scene. Did a great job reflecting it back at us. See more Dante H @RT77074266 Feb 14, 2025 Much better than I had expected. An entertaining enough romp, though hardly likely to stay long in the memory.
