The actor’s charisma keeps the formulaic movie afloat, while director Collins displays a flair for action scenes.

Gibson's lingering charisma isn't enough to inject any psychology into a painfully underdeveloped character; by the end, you still won't know a jot about Bowdrie or his life beyond his sheer macho competence.

There's not much that's new or fresh in this creaky story of innocents getting inadvertently mixed up with criminals, and it's all made worse by the flat, dull characters and a general cluelessness.

Mel Gibson puts forth an effort in this pedestrian low-budget crime thriller that hardly seems worth the trouble.

Someone get Gibson to a chiropractor because his back must hurt from carrying this movie.

A solid Gibson gives a sturdy foundation to the narrative, but his younger co-stars are just as good.

Mel Gibson never fails! Hunting Season was a great watch—entertaining, suspenseful, and kept me interested from beginning to end. Mel Gibson brings such a strong presence to the screen and really carries the movie. If you enjoy action thrillers, this one is definitely worth watching!

Mel Gibson still has what it takes to lead in an action movie. His interaction with his female costars draws out their best and I’m sure that they have come away from this movie with lots of positive energy. The story is different, the absence of the mother needs more explanation, but overall I enjoyed this that much I didn’t need the distraction of my mobile phone to get me through the quiet moments. Shelley Hennig is an absolute stunner and Sofia Hublitz has a very bright future ahead of her. The cartel leader not so much.

I love Mel Gibson movies. Crazy something with a small budget like this can be endlessly more watchable than anything in the theaters currently. Good watch,

Perfectly serviceable movie, it won't have you on the edge of your seat, but there is some empathy in there. Not a lot of meat in the script.

Absolutely terrible. A gun-loving five-grader must have written the script. Rarely come across films this stupid

Now I know how Arabs feel when they see themselves represented on TV. Oliver Trevena is an Englishman pretending to be an Irish man and his accent is appalling. Good father/ daughter movie all the same
