Manny the mammoth starts to worry when his daughter Peaches announces her engagement. Still unlucky in love, Sid the sloth volunteers to plan the couple's wedding. To Manny's dismay, nothing can stop the upcoming nuptials, except maybe the end of the world. When Scrat accidentally launches himself into outer space, he sets off a chain reaction that sends an asteroid hurtling toward Earth. Now, the entire herd must leave home to explore new lands and save itself from Scrat's cosmic blunder.

Far from the strongest entry, but it's still a fun, colorful adventure. Scrat's space antics are easily the funniest part, while the animation, comedy, and familiar characters bring plenty of nostalgia. The story is increasingly ridiculous, the villain is forgettable, and the franchise's heart feels weaker than before. Still, it's entertaining enough if you're watching mainly for the characters and chaotic humour.

This fifth film makes it clear that the franchise should have melted away long ago. The plot, involving space threats and asteroids, is absurdly ridiculous and destroys whatever shred of logic the universe still possessed. The movie is overloaded with useless supporting characters, and the jokes have become lazy and repetitive. Even Scrat’s misadventures with the acorn are starting to lose their charm in this chaotic sequel, which serves merely as a soulless cash grab.

One of the worst animated movies I have ever had the displeasure of laying my eyes on, and its just proven that this franchise is out of steam and I don’t know why they bother making sixth one when this one didn’t even preform well at the box office
