Scrat's continuous pursuit of an infernal acorn has world-changing consequences for Manny (Ray Romano), Sid (John Leguizamo) and Diego (Denis Leary) when the continents split apart. The continental crack-up separates Manny and his friends from the rest of the herd, including Manny's mate, Ellie (Jennifer Lopez) and rebellious daughter Peaches (Keke Palmer). Never mind that the freshness of the original Ice Age and its main characters Manny (Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary), and Sid (John Leguizamo) has dissipated. How many series could sustain themselves at all through a fourth iteration?

Just sort of sits on the screen, going through the motions for 90 minutes or so. It's neither good nor bad and, unless you are under the age of 8, you'll likely forget it by the time you get home.

This one is another fun entry that keeps the franchise's familiar humour and charm alive. Scrat remains hilarious, while Manny's family storyline adds some heart. The animation is colorful, the new characters are entertaining, and the adventure moves quickly. But the story is fairly simple, some jokes feel repetitive, and it doesn't have the emotional depth of the earlier films. Still, a fun nostalgic watch.

Now this should have been the third movie, not the Dawn of Dinosaurs. Felt very much like the second movie. Just a solid Ice Age story, but I worry it might be over done with the last two films.
