After a particularly difficult job, hit men Ray (Colin Farrell) and Ken (Brendan Gleeson) head to Belgium to hide out until things cool down. Ray hates the medieval city they land in, but Ken finds its beauty and peacefulness enchanting. A disturbing, absolutely fantastic film. I watched the "extras" it would have been way darker if they included some of them but, they really explain some of the motivations of the characters. What a city!

Good movie, not great. There are some areas, where it really drags on. The funny parts though, are really funny so it balances out. Predictable ending.

In Bruges is one of those rare films that gets better every time I watch it. It somehow balances dark comedy, crime, and genuine emotion without ever feeling forced. The dog scene is still one of my favorite moments in any movie. It’s hilarious, completely unexpected, and perfectly captures the film’s absurd sense of humor. One minute you’re laughing, and the next you’re reminded how quickly things can go wrong.

I watch this 2-3 times a year. This is my favorite movie and it’s one of the best crime comedies out there. It’s got more depth and soul than everything else in its genre. One of the funniest and most re-watchable movies ever made. Went to Bruges because of this movie
