What to Know

Critics Consensus

This 1994 Pauly Shore vehicle stretches its star's thin shtick to the breaking point with a laugh-deficient screenplay that borrows shamelessly from Bill Murray's far superior Stripes.

If Shore's comic genius eludes you or if you find the film something less than a constant laugh riot, you may still be willing to agree that it's amiable enough and not begrudge in the least the likelihood that Shore fans will be pleased. Alongside another comedic giant in David Alan Greer, it's non-stop fun. The plot is ridiculous, yes, but it delivers over and over again. I will stop and watch any time I see this on cable tv. It's great and due in big part to Shore.
