Critics Consensus

The Jackass gang might be running out of gross-out stunts, but this installment contains plenty of brilliantly brain-dead comedy -- and the 3-D adds a pungent new dimension.

There is a reason these men have thrived for so long in a world where any moron with a Flip Video can get on YouTube. They are simply the best at what they do.

Just a case of 'same s***, different day'. Literally, in some cases.

This latest collection of stunts from Johnny Knoxville and his crew of masochistic nutters achieves at least one distinction: it showcases the most pointless use of 3D in movies.

At it's heart, it's always been a documentary about shenanigans, led by Johnny Knoxville, Bam Magera, Steve-O, Wee Man, and a cast of crazy people. There are no lofty descriptions, plot twists, dissertations, or allegories to speak on.

Impressively, the guys have learnt from their previous outings. This feels slicker and tighter, with less emphasis on Spike Jonze dressing up as an old guy.

...something of an anarchic spirit worth celebrating too, no matter how small and no matter how puerile.

Jackass 3D is, in my opinion, the best of the original Jackass trilogy. This was the crew at the height of their powers, delivering some of the funniest, most outrageous, and most creative stunts of the entire series. The laughs come fast, but it's also hard not to wonder how many physical and mental scars they carried away from everything they put themselves through. Watching it now also carries an extra layer of emotion, knowing it's Ryan Dunn's final film appearance before his tragic death, while Bam Margera was still fully part of the group. It captures the franchise in its prime, a perfect blend of chaos, friendship, and fearless stupidity. For fans of Jackass, this is the high point of the movies.

Another highly entertaining sequel with so many insane absurd stunts and pranks that continue to be incredibly funny and/or hard to watch. I love the glorious colorful opening scene. The slip n slide stunts with the Brand new key song, Electric Avenue, and the High Five were all hilarious and oddly charming. It's extremely entertaining and holds up just as well as the previous installments.
