brief summation, a bit gory, there are intimate scenes, the dialogue is really funny. i think this movie is definitely worth a watch. i would classify this as a comedy horror to a degree. the acting is really good, the production is really solid. the thing that stuck out to me and why this movie is rated as such is the dialogue. the dialogue is extremely accurate to what we were saying in the late 2000s and the movie capitalizes on that. i dont think it was a selling point but it is genuinely funny to watch just because of how they speak. it is a little more gory and sexual than i would have liked but ignoring those parts and you have a decent watch. not for kids if you can believe it.

Kind of a cult classic - and it's understandable. Seyfried and Fox have enough chemistry to go on for a long time and the feminist take on slashers is a fun way to bend the genre. Practical effects and the contemporary rock soundtrack add to it. The mix of genres and tones does not always work in favor of the directors best intentions, unfortunately.
