Four Harlem friends -- Bishop (Tupac Shakur), Q (Omar Epps), Steel (Jermaine Hopkins) and Raheem (Khalil Kain) -- dabble in petty crime, but they decide to go big by knocking off a convenience store. Bishop, the magnetic leader of the group, has the gun. But Q has different aspirations. He wants to be a DJ and happens to have a gig the night of the robbery. Unfortunately for him, Bishop isn't willing to take no for answer in a game where everything's for keeps.

Juice teases the potential to deeply explore serious themes but falls short. While promising, the abrupt shifts in character development, particularly Bishop's, leaves one emotionally disconnected. It misses some opportunities but remains a decent watch.

I rarely give fives but this story earned it. I’ve never seen this movie but my wife has seen pieces over the years. This story of friends, community, and the reality of ‘the neighborhood’ resonated with me. The conflicting feelings of love and loyalty against the harsh realities of a hard life was eloquently told in a fast moving and interesting movie. My one thought was that Tupac didn’t have to stretch too much for his role.

Aged a bit rough, still good to see Tupac in action and it's generally a fine movie although for me, not on the same level as Menace II Society or Boyz n the Hood. The story is fine, but not much depth on the characters and surroundings.

Outstanding film! Great acting from the Tupac, Omar, Sameul A and more. One of the best hardhitting movies depicting a group of friends from the inner city and the everyday lives affected by the choices they make. Very entertaining, realistic, thrilling, easy to follow, and smooth flowing. Have watched this many times, over 100.

Synopsis
