Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom adds another set piece-packed entry to the blockbuster franchise, although genuinely thrilling moments are in increasingly short supply.

Not only do the actors look bored with the dinos, who once commanded awe and fear, the creatures too seem disinterested. Go to Full Review

Colin Trevorrow's belated follow-up to Jurassic Park is one of the most intriguing of recent reboots, since the premise of a theme park inhabited by actual dinosaurs directly dramatises the dangers of bringing the past back to life. Go to Full Review

“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” is a blast (on the most giant screen possible), but with weak foundations, it’s hard not to feel disappointed and wonder what could have been. Go to Full Review

"Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," continues the feral frolic only to go a little too far and throw smarts out the window next. Go to Full Review

As good-looking as the movie is, it's not enough to change my mind: this is one of the worst films of 2018. An excellent cast, some mind-blowing CGI, and a great director... all wasted due to an extremely flawed screenplay and paper-thin new characters. Go to Full Review

Matt coln May 4 it was ok but in the movie didn't address the real problem See more Jackie-the-Critic 01/06/2025 Entertaining. Engaging. Just plain fun and lots of it! Amazing graphics and sound! See more Tyler 07/11/2023 Overall was a fine movie. Had some good moments, some bad moments, and interestingly enough some horror moments. See more Ashleigh W @JustAshisFine 1d Unfortunately I was disappointed in the movie watching it immediately after Jurassic World . The new side characters were unlikable and flat and added nothing to the movie. The plot was predictable and boring. Owen seemed like less of a bad ass and I honestly felt like the plot was a bit silly . After all the trauma that Owen and Claire faced because of dinosaurs, Claire suddenly being passionate about saving lives of dinosaurs, from the beginning of this movie just didn't make sense .. I hope the next sequal is better. See more Chris P @Xiao_Proxies 6d Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom takes bold creative steps by shifting the franchise's tone toward gothic horror and genetic ethics, but despite its ambition, it stumbles in execution. While it deserves credit for not simply repeating the formula, the result is a film that feels more like a bridge than a self-contained story. Visually, the movie delivers. The volcanic eruption sequence, especially the heartbreaking shot of the Brachiosaurus engulfed in smoke and flames, is among the franchise's most emotionally impactful moments. The atmosphere is moody and darker, and Michael Giacchino's score adds depth to several key scenes. However, the plot quickly descends into chaotic territory, juggling too many ideas-dinosaur auctions, clone subplots, and genetic experimentation, without fully developing any of them. Ultimately, Fallen Kingdom is more original than its predecessor, but it's also less coherent and more forgettable.
