"Kinda Pregnant" encapsula a la perfección la fórmula de la comedia estándar de Netflix: es estructuralmente predecible, preestablecida y, por momentos, densa debido a una trama vacía y llena de clichés. Sin embargo, lo que rescata a la cinta es el inconfundible estilo de humor de Happy Madison. Aunque los personajes son argumentalmente planos, su faceta más explosiva y el uso de chistes recurrentes —con diálogos aparentemente intrascendentes que culminan en remates muy bien estructurados— salvan la experiencia. Más allá de una perspectiva sobre la natalidad que resulta, como mínimo, bizarra y extraña, la película funciona como un entretenimiento sin pretensiones. No es una buena película, ni está cerca de serlo, pero cumple con su cometido principal: sacarte más de una sonrisa y funcionar como un visionado ligero y sin complicaciones.

I sometimes wonder how a whole collective team of people can sign off on such terrible comedy. Amy Schumer lacks any comedic pizzazz or genuinely funny moments. It all comes across as cringe and just totally lame. Storyline itself is weird and doesn't really make sense.
