Criminals Roy and Orchid target a suspected trafficker, but Orchid kills her, defying Roy. After the crime hits national news, Orchid proposes robbing the wealthy Sterlings, who reportedly hold millions in bearer bonds. The Sterlings, however, are hosting a macabre dinner party, poisoning and torturing their guests. As Roy and Orchid attempt a break-in, the Sterling's chef, Mitch, injures Roy. Orchid, revealed to have a personal vendetta against Conrad Sterling due to past abuse, confronts him during the chaos. Hostages escape, and amid the bloody conflict, Orchid kills Conrad after he recognizes her. Learning from Ethel--her estranged mother--that the abuse led to her dismissal, Orchid exacts her final revenge. Taking the bonds, she kills Ethel and departs, leaving behind a trail of bodies, including Roy, achieving both freedom and vengeance.

Character motivations are unclear, making it difficult to connect emotionally with anyone on screen. The direction lacks consistency, and the pacing never builds real tension or suspense. Instead of escalating, the film drifts, leaving viewers waiting for a payoff that never comes. Ultimately, Kindred feels flat from beginning to end, struggling to develop momentum or cohesion. Despite moments that hint at something interesting, it never fully comes together, making it a disappointing and hard-to-recommend thriller that fails to leave any lasting impression.
