They made James Bond into a bumbling idiot stumbling from one capture to another. When he gets caught and Solitaire is also captured he doesn't seem to be the least bit concerned. I kept shouting at the screen "Come on Bond, DO SOMETHING!". The best part of this movie is Paul McCartney's theme song, which they took every opportunity to put in the movie (that is actually a good idea to distract the audience from having to watch this guy stumble around on the screen ruining the reputation of the skill of James Bond.) Jayne Seymour as Solitaire is pleasant to watch, she's just lovely and the emotions playing on her face as certain cards are drawn is fun to watch. I wanted Bond to shoot every one of these villains, but even more I was hoping he wouldn't fall for at least one of their traps, but no, every bloody one. So yes, if you're watching all the movies, you'll need to sit through this one as well. See more IAM M @IAM1655 Jun 7 Roger Moore was brilliant in his first role as James Bond. Baron Samedi was a far more better villain than Dr. Kananga. Tee-Hee's death at the end was hilarious. The scenes in San Monique were pretty boring. It's very tongue in cheek at the best of times, but still entertaining. Especially in way of New Orleans, and swamps of the Louisiana bayou. Also noteworthy , one of the most thrilling boat chases of cinema. The film also introduces audience to Jane Seymour, who plays lovely Tarot card reader , Solitaire. Some devious villains ,crocodiles , snakes , and oh yeah Sharks, make this a great James Bond film to watch. See more Read all reviews
