Strange things are afoot in the depths of the sea. First a passenger plane vanishes over the Pacific Ocean. Then an oil platform is obliterated. Marine biologist Emma MacNeil is dispatched to investigate the phenomena, and, with the help of Japanese scientist Seiji Shimada, she makes a discovery that will rock the world: An enormous prehistoric shark and a giant octopus have been awakened from their icy slumbers -- and they're hungry.

I wasn’t going into this movie expecting an life changing experience but I wanted to have so bad it’s good laughs and while they were some moments with the terrible script, flat acting and the usual Asylum awful CGI but the rest was so dull that isn’t worth watching

The CGI is slightly better than anything from the Asylum. Plus, there really isn't anything in the movie that earns the R rating. Not even multiple F bombs. But it is dumb fun. Exciting with a great cast and not horrible CGI. It has a so bad it's good quality. A good choice for a bad movie night.

I had high hopes for Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus. Come on, it has Lorenzo Lamas in it. You know it should be cheesy. Plus, there's like three sequels to it. But it was just okay and at some points kind of boring. (https://foreverfinalgirl.com/mega-shark-vs-giant-octopus/)
