Bazil (Dany Boon) has been a victim of weapons manufacturers his entire life. His father was killed by a land mine, and Bazil lost his job after he was shot by an errant bullet -- which is still lodged in his skull. Now Bazil lives on the streets of Paris, where he encounters Slammer (Jean-Pierre Marielle). Slammer takes him under his wing, introducing him to other outcasts. With the help of his new entourage, Bazil devises a plan to exact revenge on the companies that took so much from him.

Rafael R 09/12/2021 Another astonishing movie made by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. It doesn't have deep character development and there's a forced romantic arc that doesn't fit on the film in any manner. But Micmacs is a comedy. The only objective a comedy has is to be funny. And this movie is hilarious, even more than Amélie. Dany Boon's character's objective is enough to keep the spectator stuck in the movie. Is it implausible? Definitely, the story is absurd, but again, we're watching a comedy. And the last thing you should do is to take a comedy seriously. And Micmacs works not only as a comedy but also as a highly intelligent heist movie.
