TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 2d Misdirection is a 2026 action thriller that initially shows promise, especially with Frank Grillo leading the cast. He delivers his usual intensity and physicality, and a few action sequences are well-executed and engaging. Unfortunately, those moments don’t carry the film. The pacing drags, and long stretches of flat dialogue and weak character development make it hard to stay invested. The screenplay lacks cohesion, with underdeveloped motivations and a story that drifts between twists without building meaningful stakes. Grillo does his best, but the material limits his impact, making his talent feel wasted. The twist near the end is surprising but arrives too late to redeem the film. Overall, Misdirection feels like a forgettable streaming thriller with brief flashes of competence, entertaining in parts but ultimately disappointing and unlikely to leave a lasting impression.
