American businessman Jack Dwyer, wife Annie and their two young daughters arrive in Southeast Asia to begin a new life. As his company plans to improve the region's water quality, the family quickly learns that they're right in the middle of a political uprising. Armed rebels attack the hotel where they're staying, ordered to kill any foreigners that they encounter. A tense survival thriller that wastes little time putting its characters in danger. The atmosphere, escalating violence, and constant sense of being trapped make it surprisingly gripping. The performances are solid, though some character decisions feel frustratingly predictable and the story isn't especially deep. Still, the pacing and tension make it an entertaining one-time watch.

Dont mind the review. theres no xenophobia here. people are just overly karen. imo this is by far the best thriller drama movie ive ever scene. none has done this for so long and still is the best one out here among the slop release of these big entertainment labels this days. the last time ive watched this was when i was a kid and i still remember the whole plot vividly , can guarantee you it is that good.

Cannot stand movies when people let multiple other get injured/die just to protect/help them. Their eldest daughter was also incredibly annoying.
