In the 1940s South Carolina, mill worker Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling) and rich girl Allie (Rachel McAdams) are desperately in love. But her parents don't approve. When Noah goes off to serve in World War II, it seems to mark the end of their love affair. In the interim, Allie becomes involved with another man (James Marsden). But when Noah returns to their small town years later, on the cusp of Allie's marriage, it soon becomes clear that their romance is anything but over.

A tearjerker? It'll make you cry but it's not manipulative. A chick flick? It's just an inspiring love story that will touch your heart and make you believe true love can last a lifetime and conquer all. Isn't that what we all want?

Watched it for the time, and I have to say wow. It’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen, it’s probably my favorite romantic movie ever made. It made me cry and feel many different emotions, it’s an amazing movie. If you don’t like this movie, it means you’re probably single and miserable and can’t keep a relationship going.

this shit got me so genuinely fucked up i actually wish i could give this zero stars. absolutely amazing. i dont know what they put in this movie, but whatever it is, don’t stop doing it. this was seriously the most emotional i have ever felt towards a movie. fuck you guys. i’m going home. (p.s. i was delighted by this movie thank you for changing my life 10/10 would recommend) (p.ps. don’t watch this movie if you are an empath.)

Synopsis
